Many small businesses started small, but most basic accounting software usually out-live as business expands requiring more complex functionalities. Changing software cause business disruption and costly to migrate data and user re-training.

Accounting module is still the core module of every business software. Every other module is integrated fully to the GL module and all financial related transactions are posted to the GL module directly online, negating the need to import, synchronize data or do batch posting. Thus financial data is always current and accurate.
 
Like ERP grade software, the GL module is using advanced and latest accounting methodology called "Perpetual" to compute cost of goods sold for the purpose generating P&L statement. The outdated "periodic" method does not allow companies with multi sub-entities to generate P&L by Branch, Departmental or Business unit. 
 
Also, Periodic method force user to do stock take and compute stock value on hand to carry out month end financial close. By using Perpetual method, the cost of each Invoiced stock is computed automatically and posted to COGS GL code for each invoice, ie transactional base.
 
The Accounting module is also designed to be almost Plug n Play, enabling users with almost no bookkeeping skill to close financial books. Standard GL chart of accounts have been pre-setup, negating the needs to design and create GL codes from scratch.
 
VECOUNT also support multi currency, you can conduct international trade easily. Users are able to view
transactions in their source currency and system compute exchange gain or loss automatically.
